Chardonnay and Auxerrois
Chardonnay and its lesser known genetic sister, Auxerrois, both grow beautifully in the Willamette Valley.
Our Chardonnay grapes are sourced from the 210-acre Gran Moraine Vineyard, located in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. This site is comprised of well-drained, ancient Willakenzie and Hazelair soils and is situated at 180-240 feet elevation.
Alsacian native, Auxerrois, naturally tends toward moderate to low acid expression, and carries a richness of texture like that of Chardonnay. We source these grapes from the largest grower of Auxerrois in Oregon, Zenith Vineyard, which is in the Eola-Amity Hills AVA.
