Raptor Ridge Rosé
Raptor Ridge makes a distinctive style of pinot noir rose, marked by single vineyard selection and extended skin-contact. We harvest a one-acre block of Pommard clone early from Bellevue Cross vineyard in McMinnville, and allow the fruit to rest on skins for 48 hours, giving the final product its rich cherry-hues and rounded texture. The juice is then racked off to stainless steel, and guided through a slow fermentation. The resulting wine is dry, deeply fruity, and suitable for any number of food pairings, such as roast chicken, or moules frites.
We are currently sold out of our 2016 Rosé, but will be releasing the 2017 in May. We will keep you posted!
This balanced and elegant Rosé of Pinot Noir shows hints of dusty rose, candied cherries, ginger, and white pepper. On the drier side, it shows subtle notes of confectioner’s sugar with honeydew melon.
Sold Out! The 2018 will be released soon!
90 pts- Dr. Owen Bargreen, Washington Wine Blog (June, 2019) The salmon colored rosé opens up with aromas of nectarine, guava and ripe strawberry that all collect in the glass. The palate has really good freshness with bright lemon zest, red fruit and melon tones that all impress. This is perfect for a hot summer day on the patio.
We have bottled only 60 of the Vineyard Select Rose magnums.
